History

Home of Peace Memorial Park was founded in 1903 by a group of Mexican American businessmen. The cemetery was originally located in Boyle Heights, but it was moved to its current location in East Los Angeles in 1925. The park is now owned and operated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
